The owner’s corporation can dispose of abandoned goods left on the common property only if they are deemed perishable goods or rubbish and a disposal notice is issued with the correct notice.

  1. Identify the goods –  are they perishable goods ie (food), or rubbish
  2. Has a disposal notice has been left on or near the goods to be disposed of
  3. Dispose of the goods if sufficient notice has been provided and the goods have not been collected by the owner
  4. Abandonment of vehicle – An owner’s corporation can move a vehicle that blocks an exit or entrance or otherwise prevents the use of common property. The owner’s corporation must meet certain notice requirements before it can move the vehicle.
